Storytime & Sprinkles
If you're pining for a break from reality these days, head to "Drawing Babar: Early Drafts and Watercolors" at the Morgan Library & Museum, and spend some time in the company of everyone's favorite pachyderm. Then skip a few blocks north to Crumbs for their far-better-than-the-original version of a Hostess cupcake. Feels like first grade all over again! Morgan Library & Museum: 225 Madison Ave. Exhibition through Jan. 4; Crumbs: 43 W 42nd.

Our Growing Network
Tonight at Haven, we'll be highlighting a few of our friends from around the city. The SALT Gallery is a new contemporary community gallery in Chelsea featuring a stunning show by Esther Havens. A new rehearsal and performance venue called The Space is hosting movie screenings... Goonies anyone? And we're excited that Trinity Grace Church (formerly Origins) has launched their new site. Congrats!

Rockin' The Tube
Havenites are producing new video left and right, so we want to share a few highlights with you. Have you seen the new Gillette commercial? It features John Harrison (oh yeah, and Tiger Woods, Derek Jeter, and Roger Federer). Ashley Jones tells the story of her trip to Rwanda in her new video, Meeting Martin and Uwamubona. And follow along with the comedy genius of Lynn Lynn starring our own loveable Cory Cavin and Josh Lay. Happy Friday!

Remembering . . .
Head to Battery Park on September 10th or 11th to sign your name—or that of a loved one—on a steel beam that will be used in the construction of the National September 11th Memorial & Museum. You can also write a "Note of Hope" that will become a part of the museum archives. 10am-7pm, Battery Place btw. Greenwich & Washington.
